Secondly, it does not really ensure more security or safety, so what if the people see it are they quick enough to get to the place and are the robbers slow enough to drag and take their own sweet time?
Lastly, it does save some manpower but, it still requires someone to sit behind the big screen to monitor what is going on and what is captured by the cctv cameras.

I agree with you Sean. The CCTV is more useful in providing the evidence after the crime has been committed rather than to catch the criminal at the point of action.
